With a theme of change, the Clynol profile event held at the Landmark hotel in central London at the end of March had it all.   Change was introduced as the topic by Clynol's managing director Colin Sillery and the 24 hour programme saw evidence of change at every turn.

The marketing team presented the new Clynol Viton Speed 10, a fantastically fast, professional colour result in just 10 minutes, and because it sounded too good to be true, we saw the results unfold before our eyes on two glamorous models.

Styling and award winning supremos Tim Scott-Wright (Lisa Shepherd Salons), Adam Bryant (Ethos) and Janer Stewart (Angels) worked on their own models and each shared their hairdressing experience of British Hairdressing wins, being in the Hall of Fame, celebrity clients, fashion week and session styling.   It was gripping stuff and showed true creative artistry through awesome presentations.

The sizzling debut from  Clynol's Protégé team 2010 showed raw and promising new talent.  Protégé manager Jamie Farrar coached the team through their prep work and interviewed them on stage for their first show since being formed as a team in early March.  With a fantastic programme ahead for 2010 this team looks like it's quite literally going places.

There were brain-tingling sessions with GMTV lifestyle guru Pete Cohen.  With a theme of changing the way you think and act, this business presentation had everyone thinking about their lifestyle and business approaches.  A 150 strong audience of salon managers, owners and teams motivating all to get the most from life and to be in control of their thoughts and actions – with an aide memoire for the presentation, we are all now the proud owners of yellow rubber duck to help us close down the negative voice in our heads……‘shut the duck up'.   Pete followed through with a more detailed session with purely owners and managers.

The event was the perfect opportunity to welcome Lisa Shepherd and her team back to the company, Lisa's first event since giving birth to her second child, Lola, she received a rapturous applause.   Stephen McDowell, Clynol's Technical Manager, hosted the catwalk show with ‘my three favourite ladies', Sharon Peake, Tracey Devine and Lisa Shepherd.  These leading ladies of hairdressing Lisa Shepherd, Tracey Devine and Sharon Peake brought to a stylish and characterful-big-stage-catwalk show bringing to life their favourite collections.

Then came the giant awards finale presented by Claudia Winkleman as the piece de resistance.  This genius funny-girl co-presented awards with press from across the industry and consumer and with a genuine love of hair she stayed into the wee-small hours partying with the Clynol profile accounts and having pictures taken with finalists and winners all.

For the 36 finalists across 8 business and creative categories and ultimately for the 8 winners it was an evening to celebrate their successes and the smiles, squeals of joy and high jinx said it all.    With prizes ranging from a colourful city trip for the winner of Colour Hot Shot, young creative talent wins a place on a photographic shoot with John Rawson; creative and business prizes include tickets for the most celebrated industry events both business and creative and specialist training courses.  The Business Smart winner gets a full day one-to-one with marketing expert Rachel Gould. The joy and gain from winning will go on and on for these successful salons.

Clynol is a company that enjoys success, helps to create opportunity for winning and just has the knack of sharing the feel-good factor with those it works with.  This was an action packed 24 hours and it was all about the Clynol’s top customers.  “The object of the event is to get everyone together for this highly motivational annual event.  Clynol events are one of a kind - it is always such a feel-good gathering, old and new friends sharing ideas and learning new things.  We took the opportunity to share news of the new product developments including Viton Speed 10 which will be huge, and to talk more about embracing change and challenge – Pete Cohen was a genius with his incredible approach to life and it’s just great to see the new Protégé team together and so excited about their coming year.”  commented business manager, Nick Biggane.

This really was 24 hours of action that would put Jack Bauer to shame.
